Early Treatment of a Class III Patient with Chincup: A Case Report

Class III malocclusions are usually related to growth and mandibular posture. The mixed dentition stage of development may provide a useful opportunity embark upon orthodontic therapy correct malocclusion. Chin cap is appliance in growingpatients that exhibit prognathis. This case report aim describe an early treatment malocclusion by using chincup. presents 9 year-old girl with functional anterior crossbite. She has treated chincup for 10 months. occlusion was elevated maxillary appliance, the maxilla freed from restriction mandible. In this way, able continue its mandible limited Anterior cross-bite corrected positive overjet were achieved. Facial profile improved. While posterior rotation expected effect chincup, SN-GoGn angle didn’t change case. At end treatment, class I relationship smooth soft tissue obtained.
